The Dvorak Project | Bold Modern Design with Warm Oak Accents

When we first met the Dvoraks, they shared their dream of a kitchen that could embody the natural warmth of wood, while upholding the sleek sophistication of modern design. At first, they didn’t know how this would materialise. But, after collaborating with our design team, their vision soon became defined. 

To create that seamless, sophisticated look, we opted for a handleless kitchen design with satin white lacquered doors. This gives their open-plan space a fluid, uninterrupted feel. To balance the crispness of the white, we introduced warmth through oak cabinetry, with floor-to-ceiling units and perforated oak door fronts on the island and wall units.

Each drawer was crafted from premium solid oak, marrying durability with elegance. The centrepiece is a striking 50mm Caesarstone worktop in turbine grey, paired effortlessly with the 1810 under-mount sink and a sleek black Blanco Linus tap. A satin-white glass splashback completes the look, maintaining the kitchen’s minimalist aesthetic.

We ensured every appliance blended seamlessly into the design, with a Siemens Studioline vented hob, oven, and compact microwave, alongside a French Door Fisher & Paykel fridge freezer and a Caple wine cooler – perfect for entertaining.

Clever storage solutions were key to keeping the space clutter-free and highly functional. From the Peka pull-out larder to the custom oak cutlery drawers and internal storage, every detail was crafted by our artisans to meet the family’s specific needs.

The kitchen is bathed in natural light, thanks to the skylights and full-height glass doors. In the evenings, a minimalist pendant light adds a soft, elegant glow bringing the entire design together in perfect harmony.
