Durlston Road, London

Our clients were a professional working couple who were second-time home buyers. They needed a complete remodel and renovation to accommodate themselves and their three children aged six years old, four years old and less than one year old. Storage was the main priority for our client. They fell in love with the elegant shaker style solid oak displayed in the studio due to its ‘wow’ factor. In addition to ample storage, they wanted their kitchen to accommodate day-to-day family life with their children. Sleek and practical, this light-filled, open-plan kitchen comes with cabinetry, worktops, and brassware all in black to create a sense of luxe and drama.

A beautiful breakfast unit with pocket hide way doors was introduced to hide away smaller appliances like kettle and toaster and when open the warm white LED strip lighting displays the barware and accessories.

The pantry unit with push to open shelves allows for easy access. Wicker baskets and bespoke oak condiment racks have been incorporated to maximise food storage.

Storage was the main priority for our clients. We added push to open cabinets to the back of the island and an overhanging bar allowed for seating.

As the cabinetry and worktops chosen are very dark we opted for a plain mirror splashback, by Mirrors by Design, to bounce light about and to enhance the sense of space.
