Osterley Road, St Albans

Our clients were a professional couple who were second-time home buyers. They needed a complete bathroom renovation to accommodate themselves and their two children. The client wanted their bathroom ensuite to be completely redone. The design of the was dated, the layout prohibited a smooth movement around the bathroom and there was a lack of storage space. They wanted a private bathroom that they could use with ease first thing in the morning and relax in after a long day at work.

We designed, supplied and installed this ‘his and hers’ ensuite bathroom into a contemporary, bright and indulgent space for our client. Clever ‘hidden’ storage solutions helped to minimise clutter and a monochrome colour palette gave a mature and eye-catching look. We replaced the window to allow a generous amount of natural light to flood into the bathroom. Made to measure mirrored frames have were used as doors on the wall cabinets to create an illusion of more space. We designed and fitted a fully bespoke walk-in shower to compliment the black accessories and black fittings. Metro-style, geometric tiles were laid in an unusual way to add interest to the bathroom. The cabinetry units were designed and fabricated using black carcasses for the wood grain. To finish the look, we used a composite stone for the vanity top. And off-white grout to outline the wall tiles for ultimate ease of maintenance.
